Blessed

Sometimes I just have to take a break in the busy life to take a step back and realize how blessed I am. I am not sure how aware everyone is with the current crisis happening with our education system in Arizona, but it is pretty awful. Many teachers are facing losing their jobs, their insurance and will be left unable to provide for their families. With that being said, it has been quite chaotic at work the past few weeks. I guess despite the hardships we face daily, I praise God with thanksgiving on a daily basis for my soft heart. I don't allow my heart to become hardened by wordly things (or at least in this situation I haven't.) I must say that it has taken a long time to learn to trust the Lord. As a younger Christian, I would constantly be faced with the difficulty of trusting someone you can't physically see. Through prayer and patience my relationship with the Lord gets stronger every day. I love this verse. I've memorized it and use it to help me get through the moments where I feel myself slipping. I just remember that Scripture tells us to trust, no matter what the situation.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
